so is anyone supporting to any other (including bolhabey)to the extent of “your will is my command.” C’mon guys learn democracy n stop supporting your leaders but rather their polices and learn to criticise them for their shortcomings in the polices plus about their own agendas. Or else we can never get rid of dictators, jus one after ther other lik in africa, asia etc. Especially keep a close eye on Anni, his track record isnt of perfection. keep ur eyes open

yeh there is no point of convincing you and dont try to fool others by saying that. talking abt the facts and figures, we can say maldives can be now in the G8 countries. but look at the reality my friend., it seems you havent gone to the islands and met people. and abt the hunger problem the reality is 80% of the maldivians have difficulty in accessing food. Dont talk abt facts and figures talk abt reality..Also dont talk abt male. talk abt the other 2000 islands. thats the majority of Maldives

Developing a country is developing it’s people. Unless you develop and give the equal opportunity to develop to every single person of the country regardless of their class/position, family or name, you cannot say it’s developed.

Maumoon only let the resort owners develope the Tourism industry cause he saw it a means to finance his/family’s lavish lifestyle.

He failed to invest the US dollers in building it’s people. Almost all projects you see in Maldives are result of foreign aid.

  14. kalaminja on March 22nd, 2009

Malaysialakisa OMG…are you blinded by maumoniyya veil? Maumoon didn’t develop the tourism industry nor did he initiate it.
If it wasn’t for his robbing of the nation we would’ve been on the developing list a long time ago.He can be credited for developing a drug business and even a corruption rate faster than any neighbouring country.
How about a good system of nepotism?
You are right, Anni stands nowhere infront of Gayoom…because Robert Mugabe stands there.

ask gayoom bullshit past 30 years have he suggested to give book for sudent studying all schools?he will say he has dream this metter past years now it has done, but fact is all these changes has come bez of other political leaders in this country.

  16. freedom20080 on March 22nd, 2009

ask gayoom bullshit how much we have to pay for down payment for hulhumale?we have to pay for then 15000USD for it.how can a person pay that amount of money for it,a person income in mount is not more then 1000USD.

  17. freedom20080 on March 22nd, 2009

Gayoom and his family members are bullshit they think this country is there own properties.”F U C K O F F gayoom family”.this buger is worse then Sadam hussain.

  18. malaysialakisa on March 22nd, 2009

Gaumeh exist vegen thaneh kuriaraa nama miadhu duniyeyge kohme gaumakee kuriaraafa ohnaane gaumeh. But the reality is that Maldives became a exotic paradise nation from a fishing village only because of President gayoom. If it was not him, we would still had been an under developed nation. But today maldives has its space in the developing country’s list. This is why i say maldives is what it is, only because of gayooms effort and his well planned system. Anni stands nowhere in front if Gayoom

  19. malaysialakisa on March 22nd, 2009

There is no country where the term corruption doesn’t exist, yet in Maldives the corruption is less and controlled. And if u speak of poverty, GDP per capita has increased from US $300 to US$2900 during President Gayoom’s presidency in the Maldives. Speaking of poverty, there is no person in maldives who would go on hunger. There are free government schools and affordable medical facilities in our nation. We should be proud of what we have and be thankful. Choose wisely, think of the facts!

let me ask u ppl..do u know who is the first president who initiated the first democracy in this world? well i know who it is..its maumoon and it was on 2005. before that no other country or no1 knows about democracy. i thank maumoon for taking only 30 yrs to educate maldivians to implement the very 1st democracy in this world..good job.

  22. L0n3w0lf565 on March 22nd, 2009

i never knew that corruption had gone to this stage.. maumoon might have been a good thing for our tourism industry and he might have helped in the development of maldives.. sorry jus male and his aarah. he has wasted so much of OUR money on his yatch and theemuge. what we need in maldives now is not experiance or a well focused leader.. we need some one who loves this country. coz unless thats there he wont do shit to help us.. VOTE ANNI… VOTE FOR A CHANGE.

  23. hulhudhoo on March 22nd, 2009
