I also find this clip, very one sided. It does NOT even attempt to show half the true natural beauty of the Seychelles. But shows a lot more for the Maldives. It has been purposely made to favour the Maldives!
It is true that the Maldives are more popular.Living in the UK, I have visited both& found the Seychelles culture more similar to western countries. Also, the Maldives/Mauritius are a LOT more cheaper than the Seychelles, hence their popularity! In the Seychelles mass tourism is not encouraged. The reason being the detrimental effect it can have on the environment. There is an annual cap on the number of visitors allowed in the country. For me, this is good, as the islands are truely unspoilt!
Seychelles being entirely christian and Maldives being entirely Muslim has nothing to do with the beauty or popularity. And u know why Maldives didn’t face much destruction by the tsunami while the bigger nations faced severe destruction ? coz the the beautiful coral reefs were there to protect it. and of course both are very nice. But,Maldives is a way better and much famous than Seychelles anyway ..more and more people are visiting Maldives day by day. tc

Though both have small islands with beaches, they are quite different. For the purest naural beauty and isolated relaxation, i don’t think anything can top the Maldives! Maldives is just breathtakingly beautiful!
I think the pics of Maldives were pretty nice actually, I think it was Seychelles pics where justice wasn’t served=)
Both are very different, different people, different opinions/ preferences=)
I prefer to visit both.
but I’m going soon on Maldives first. Next will be Seychelles. Don’t forget French Polynesia

THE SEYCHELLES:
*More diverse,not just a beach holiday,lots of culture,historical attractions,mountain retreats,rain forests&bigger islands
*Entirely christian(catholic country local people have a more western way of life
*Has been both an English&French colony.Both languages are widely spoken
MALDIVES:
*Predominantly a muslim country&quite restricted
*Smaller islands with limited transportation
*Very vulnerable islands(tsumani 2004)
*Nothing more to do other than beaches
Both are very nice!
