Water Sports center opened in Kuda Bandos

A water sports center and water sports school aimed at Maldivians have been opened in Kuda Bandos. Mohamed Mazin, one of the directors of the facility, informed that internationally recognized certificates would be awarded to those completing various courses offered at the facility. He said such certificates may be used obtain jobs from water sports centers located in various schools.

He said special programs and courses aimed children will be on offer and that these would be free of charge. He also said the services offered to public would be at a low cost. The center, a joint venture between Island Water Sports and Bandos Resort would be opened on Fridays from 0800 hours to 1800 hours.

Chairman of Bandos Resort Mohamed Waheeduhdheen has recently highlighted that many foreigners are employed at water sports centers based in various resorts in the country at exceptionally higher salaries. He noted that these jobs can be taken over by locals and that he would work to this end.
